Hippach - In 3 days
Day 1
At an altitude of over 600 meters, the tranquil village of Hippach welcomes you in the middle of the Zillertal. The Tyrolean community has fewer than 1,500 inhabitants and is a popular holiday destination all year round. Here you can expect peace and relaxation in a stunning Alpine landscape that invites you to engage in sporting excursions. You can best use your first day on site with a walk through the community to see the sights of Hippach. The Catholic Parish Church, with its red bell tower visible from a great distance, is considered a landmark. The history of the church dates back to the year 1247, with numerous changes to the building in the following centuries. The cruciform church itself is in Baroque style, while the north tower is Gothic. Also worth seeing are the Chapel of the Holy Trinity from the year 1741 and the Chapel of Mary of Victory, from which you can enjoy a picturesque panoramic view.
Day 2
For the second day in Hippach, sporting activities are recommended. The Zillertal offers a variety of options in every season. In the summer months, ten different cable cars take you to the surrounding mountain peaks, from where you can embark on long hikes. Numerous via ferratas promise exciting adventures at lofty heights, and the high ropes courses are also ideal for families with children. On particularly warm days, the mountain lakes offer a welcome refreshment, with the Ahornsee and the Gerlos reservoir being especially popular destinations. In the cold season, you can expect more than 500 kilometers of well-prepared slopes for skiing and snowboarding around the Zillertal. By car or ski bus, you can quickly reach the Zillertal Arena, the Hochzillertal, or the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen from Hippach. In all winter sports areas, there are blue, red, and black slopes, so beginners, intermediates, and professionals all get their money's worth.
Day 3
On the third day in Hippach, you have the choice between relaxing hours in the fresh mountain air or an exciting trip to nearby Innsbruck. By car, the nearly 65 kilometers take less than an hour. Once you arrive in the capital of Tyrol, you can look forward to numerous cultural and historical attractions. Stroll through the city center and take a look at the Golden Roof, which is considered a landmark of Innsbruck. A visit to the Alpine Zoo, tours of Ambras Castle, and the climb to the Bergisel Ski Jump are also recommended.
