Circular hike to Ramsjoch
The circular tour to Ramsjoch and along the Torseen measures approximately 13 kilometers. Fitness and endurance are required for the quite demanding tour with an elevation difference of around 700 meters. The tour begins at the mountain station of the Tuxer Eggalmbahn. From there, it goes straight up to Ramsjochspitz on partially forested hiking trails. Once at Ramsjochspitz, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over the Tux Alps. The descent leads past the smaller and larger Torseen. There is an impressive waterfall near the lakes as a natural highlight to admire. The path continues to the Alm Nasse Tux and from there back to the starting point.
Gerlossteinwand mountain tour
At an elevation of 2,166 meters, the summit of the Gerlossteinwand in the Austrian Tyrolean Alps offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain panoramas. Additionally, the modern via ferrata Gerlossteinwand is located here, providing climbers and mountaineers with wonderful opportunities. The ascent is considered moderately difficult. A good starting point for the approximately 5 km long summit climb is the mountain station of the Gerlossteinbahn at an elevation of 1,650 meters. From here, there is still a fairly steep ascent, but it already offers a great view of the Gerlossteinwand and is pleasantly shady in the morning.
From the Zillergründl reservoir to the restaurant "Einkehr zum Adlerblick"
The restaurant "Einkehr zum Adlerblick" is located at an altitude of 1,900 meters above the Zillergründl reservoir and can be reached on foot from the reservoir on a hiking tour of about 4.4 kilometers. The fairly steep path takes about an hour. The restaurant has been run by the Obermair family for years. Above the inn, the Obermairs have built a small chapel in honor of their grandfather Valentin. From the "Adlerblick," a narrow hiking trail leads to the chapel. The path is narrow, and the walking time is about an hour. The ascent is worth it, as the view from the chapel is unforgettable.
Tour to the Gedrechter in the Zillertal
You start the tour at the Kaltenbach ski lodge in a scenic location at 1,800 m. Via a forest road, you reach the Neuhüttenalm, where a path marked with No. 2 branches off to the Hochalm. It leads along the edge of the forest to the alpine pasture, which is located at 1,811 m in a high valley. A narrow footbridge approaches the summit of the Gedrechter. You always have the summit cross in view. Once at the destination, the view sweeps over the Ahorn and Floiten ridges. Nature enthusiasts gladly descend to the alpine garden. Here, during the warm season, they can closely observe gentian, silver thistle, and edelweiss.
Waterfall Loop Trail
The waterfall is worth a visit all year round. Sometimes it appears as a thin water thread, while at other times it plunges broadly into the depths. The circular hike around the waterfall and the Kleine Schwendberg invites you to varied discoveries, both in the forest and along the mountain farms. An impressive landscape reveals itself to you during the ascent into the forest. The 7-kilometer circular route begins and ends in Schwendau. Walk through the fairy-tale forest, past the Zimmerhäuslmühle and gigantic boulders. Legendary and easy to hike, the waterfall circular route is an adventure for the whole family.
Grüblspitze Summit Hike
The Grüblspitze is a 2395-meter-high mountain in the Tux Alps in Tyrol, Austria, offering a fantastic view. The approximately 12-kilometer summit hike leads from Lanersbach to the summit and back. From the mountain station, the actual hike begins, leading over beautiful paths, trails, and climbs across a green alpine meadow to the breathtaking summit. Afterwards, the path leads to Zilljöchl past a charming small forest area and along a dirt road back to Lanersbach.
Short tour on the Arbiskopf
On the short 1,200 m tour to the Arbiskopf, you overcome 226 meters in altitude. The mountain farm Melchboden with a rest station is the starting point. In good weather, you can admire paragliders from the terrace at 2,000 m during their flight into the valley. From now on, it is always uphill. Thanks to the good signage, you cannot miss the right path to the Arbiskopf. Once you have reached the summit, you can continue on a narrow ridge path to the Rauenkopf. You look down on the Sidanbach Valley. Before descending, a stop at the Rastkoglhütte is recommended.
