The path runs mostly directly along the lakeshore on the east bank, while on the west bank it stretches slightly elevated above the lake. With its 22 kilometers in length, the circular hiking trail around Lake Achensee is a charming day trip. It is also a nice idea for jogging or walking. Along the way, small bathing bays invite you to a picnic on the shore or a refreshing summer dip in the cool lake.

Zirbenweg Obergurgl

At 15 interactive stations, you can learn about the rare tree species in detail. The path is interesting for both children and adults. The 4,400-meter-long Zirbenweg Obergurgl starts at the valley station of the Hohe Mut cable car. The themed trail passes unforgettable viewpoints and leads to benches that invite you to rest.

The starting point of the nearly 10-kilometer-long hike is the Bischoffsplatz parking lot in Umhausen. Interesting sights along the way include the Ötzi Village and the Bird of Prey Park. The Stuböbele Forest Café invites you to take a relaxing break. Rising water plumes soon announce the natural spectacle. Over 700 metal steps lead, flanked by the roaring masses of water, up to the edge of the fall. Up there, you can enjoy fantastic views into the depths from the 80-meter-long suspension bridge. An enhancement is the nearby platform at a dizzying height. On the so-called ion platform, you breathe in beneficial water droplets. From the Stuibenfall, it is a 20-minute walk to the inn of the same name, where you can leisurely reflect on your experiences.
