Mediterranean Balcony
Located between the main beaches of Benidorm, Levante and Poniente, on a rocky outcrop, "the Mediterranean Balcony" rightfully earns its name. Ponent Beach
Platja de Ponent is located in the coastal town of Salou in the Spanish region of Catalonia. The town center is very close by. Additionally, there are many cafes, restaurants, and bars in the immediate vicinity of the beach. The excellent water quality at Platja de Ponent is awarded the Blue Flag. The Cross of Benidorm
Located at a height of 237 meters, the Mirador de la Creu offers excellent panoramas over Benidorm. The viewpoint is accessible on foot from Levante Beach or by car. A rocky path leads to the summit, which can only be traversed on foot. The summit cross of the Mirador was erected in 1961 and is said to redeem the city of Alicante, of which Benidorm is a part, from its reputation for sin. Benidorm - Climate
Benidorm has a very unique climate. In the city on the Mediterranean, the climate is fundamentally Mediterranean, but the mountains around Benidorm block a large part of the cooler winds, leading to milder temperatures compared to the rest of the Costa Blanca. Thus, average temperatures in summer are around 26°C, and in winter the thermometer rarely falls below 10°C. Even 20°C is possible on some winter days. The classic bathing season is from May or June to October. The water temperature from June to mid or late October is over 20°C.
