Morskie Oko / Eye of the Sea
The name of the glacial lake Morskie Oko means "Eye of the Sea," which lies deep, clear, and still at almost 1,400 meters in a cirque, 20 kilometers southeast of the Polish resort town of Zakopane. The Gorals, native to the rugged mountain world of the Polish Tatra, long believed the lake was directly connected underground to the Mediterranean Sea. Locals also like to call Morskie Oko "Fish Eye" because of its abundance of trout. Mighty peaks rise all around. You can get within 9 kilometers of the mountain lake by car. Then you continue on foot or by horse-drawn carriage. A designated circular hiking trail offers ever-new perspectives on the lake.
Błędów Desert
The Błędów Desert is considered the largest inland sand area in Central Europe. High, fine sandy dunes in its north transition into flat pasturelands with soft sandy soil towards the south. Adventurous active travelers can explore the approximately 32 km² desert region on foot or on horseback.
Errant Rocks / Wild Holes
Wind and weather shaped the extraordinary rock formations in the Polish national park on the Czech border. Błędne Skały means "Wild Holes." This place impresses with labyrinths and stone corridors. 100 kilometers of hiking trails lead you to breathtaking viewing platforms, forests, and high moor areas. Paradise Cave
The Jaskinia Raj cave was discovered in 1963 near Kielce and has since become a popular destination for tourists. If you want to visit the cave, you must travel deep into the heart of Poland. This attraction is accessible from Krakow. Tuchola Forest
A 600-year-old oak grows by Lake Płęsno and is a draw for visitors. Romantic hiking trails follow the blue and Kashubian routes. Białowieża Forest
The Białowieża Forest in the far northeast of Poland is over 10,000 years old. It covers an area of around 1,200 square kilometers, part of which was declared a national park in 1932. Among centuries-old trees live shy bison with shaggy fur and numerous other animals such as wild horses, lynxes, beavers, and golden eagles. The best starting point for nature exploration tours through the forest is the charming village of Białowieża. In addition to a core zone that you can only visit with a knowledgeable ranger, the Białowieża also offers designated paths for self-guided tours. Among lichens, mosses, and giant trees, you walk on soft forest ground through a magnificent silence.
Crooked Forest
The Crooked Forest is one of the most mysterious places in Poland. The trees, planted around 1930, grew inexplicably in a 90-degree bend towards the north. The forest is located south of the Gryfino municipality and invites unforgettable family vacations in the fabulous nature with its surrounding landscape. Active vacationers and nature lovers find their happiness around the Crooked Forest. The cross-border landscape park of the Lower Oder Valley boasts more than 280 bird species to admire. Słowiński National Park: Łącka Dune

On a hike through the biosphere reserve, you can admire peat bogs and 165 species of moss plants. At the long sandy beach of Łeba, you can relax from your hikes or bike tours by the coastal forest. Or you can sit with a drink by Lake Łebsko and enjoy the silence. The pretty harbor in Łeba also invites you to let your mind wander and unwind.
Poland - Climate
For a vacation on the Polish Baltic Sea and the Masurian Lakes, the months from June to September are particularly suitable. During this time, the region enjoys pleasantly warm temperatures up to 22°C, and the sea warms up to about 20°C. For hiking in the mountains, spring and autumn are ideal. The climate is relatively mild, and the vegetation impresses with a colorful splendor. By the way, you can also go skiing here in winter. Between December and March, the conditions for this are ideal in Zakopane, Karpacz & Co.
