Marina of San Vincenzo
The port of San Vincenzo between the sandy beaches of the town is an ideal starting point for boat tours along the coast of Tuscany. From here, you can travel by ferry, for example, to the nearby Mediterranean island of Elba. At the edge of the port, you can visit cozy cafes and look out at the sea and the boats. The marina plays an important role in the fishing industry. At the fish market, you can purchase fresh fish.
Bovio Square
The heart of Piombino beats on the elongated Piazza Bovio. At its end rises a lighthouse, from which you have a magnificent view of the nearby island of Elba. The view of the medieval silhouette of the old town is also remarkable. A few steps from the square, a path leads to the cozy harbor and the charming little square Piazetta dei Grani. Locals like to meet here. If you continue straight ahead, you will reach the old town with its cozy establishments.
Archaeological Park of San Silvestro
In two museums of the mining park, you will learn exciting things about the hard work underground. An adventurous tour takes you through a 360 m long tunnel where copper and lead have been mined since the Middle Ages. Riding on a mine train is fun. In the medieval mining village of Rocca San Silvestro, you will discover the former world of the miners among the remains of residential houses, mansions, and the church. An old stone house - said to be the first built in Italy - has been reconstructed using traditional techniques.
Rimigliano Park
The Parco di Rimigliano is located near San Vincenzo on the Etruscan Riviera and covers an area of about 120 hectares. Here, foxes, rabbits, weasels, and many bird species frolic in a lush nature of forests and coastal landscape. The nature park includes a breathtaking dune landscape with various types of dunes, including shifting dunes. There are also many beautiful beaches. With the seaside resort of San Vincenzo, there is an excellent opportunity to enjoy a great beach holiday amidst the magnificent nature.

Cala Violina is located in the middle of a nature reserve in the Maremma between Punta Ala and Follonica in the Italian Tuscany. The beautiful beach can be reached with a short walk or by bicycle and is completely unspoiled. The idyllic beach owes its name to the sounds that the fine white sand makes when you walk on it barefoot. Then, sounds reminiscent of a violin are heard, providing an extraordinary experience in a magnificent natural setting.
