The lighthouse of Punta Tagliamento was built in 1913. During the summer months from April to August, visitors can tour it from the inside. A small exhibition tells its history. To this day, its active beacon serves as a nighttime signal for sailors. The picturesque surroundings of the Bibione lighthouse are perfect for walks, bike rides, or horseback riding. At the lighthouse itself, guests can book boat tours on the Tagliamento River. Its slender tower in white and ocher is also a beautiful photo subject.

Casoni Bibione

Big houses

With their reed-thatched pointed roofs, the Casoni evoke old times. In the middle of the wooden-built fishermen's huts was a fireplace, and the wooden beams served as sleeping and seating areas. Until the 1950s, fishermen lived in these dwellings. Today, visitors to Bibione can view the nostalgic Casoni on a trip to one of the lagoons. Some of them still stand on the small islands. From the outside, the historical structure of the fishermen's huts has been preserved. Inside, they are furnished for holiday guests.

Valgrande

Val Grande National Park

Nature and animal lovers can explore the nature park on foot, by bicycle, by kayak, or on horseback. By kayak, you can reach the sea opening and back. With a bit of luck, you might see one of the flamingo colonies. Ancient mosaics can be seen in a Roman villa. Also impressive are the dunes in the Motteron dei Frati area, reaching up to 11 meters above sea level. They form the highest elevations of the northern Adriatic coast.

Day 1

Your first day in Bibione begins with a walk along the main promenade leading to the long, golden beach. Bibione is known for its fine sand and crystal-clear water, which has been awarded the Blue Flag for its quality. Rent a sun lounger and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. For the active, there is the option to play beach volleyball or try water sports like windsurfing or stand-up paddling. At lunchtime, you can try light dishes like bruschetta or fresh salads at one of the beachside eateries. The afternoon is perfect for a walk along the coast to the Bibione lighthouse. Back in Bibione, you can enjoy a light lunch with Italian classics like spaghetti alle vongole. In the afternoon, a walk or bike ride along the Tagliamento River is recommended. This route offers beautiful views of nature and is especially popular with bird watchers. To conclude your trip, a special dinner is on the agenda. Try local delicacies like cuttlefish in squid ink sauce or fine antipasti with seafood. Accompany the meal with a glass of wine from the region, such as the well-known white wine Pinot Grigio. Bibione - Climate

Bibione on the Adriatic coast has a Mediterranean climate with hot summers up to 30°C and mild winters with at least 6°C. The bathing season starts in May and lasts until October. The sea water temperature is highest in July and August, averaging around 25°C. The average temperature in summer is about 24°C, in May it is about 18°C, and in September 20°C. The most sunshine hours are in June and July. From October, temperatures drop to 15°C and rainfall increases, especially in winter.
