The area of Le Corbier and St. Jean d'Arves includes 90 kilometers of slopes, with most of the slopes located in Le Corbier. After a long day on the slopes, you can relax in the wellness center. A special feature of the place is the shopping arcade that connects most of the buildings in Le Corbier.
Pass of the Iron Cross
The Col de la Croix de Fer, also known as the Pass of the Iron Cross, is a French Alpine pass with cult status. It has already been part of the route several times in the famous road cycling race Tour de France. Its highest point is at an elevation of 2,067 meters. Day 1
The winter sports resort Le Corbier is located at an altitude of 1,550 m in the Maurienne Valley in the French Western Alps. The municipality has a car ban, making it particularly attractive for pedestrians. In the town center, there is a covered shopping arcade that you can explore even in bad weather. In winter, the Sybelles ski area, to which Le Corbier belongs, offers around 300 kilometers of slopes for all skill levels. In summer, the region is excellent for hiking and cycling tours. On the first day, you explore the village and enjoy a delicious lunch with local specialties. Afterwards, you take a trip to the neighboring town of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. Here, you visit the Opinel Museum, which belongs to the knife factory of the same name. The Maurienne Valley is also known for its many baroque churches, which you can discover on a hike. An exhibition on the subject awaits you in Lanslebourg-le-Cenis, which is partly located in the Vanoise National Park.

On your second day in Le Corbier, you discover the fascinating mountain world of the Vanoise National Park. It is nestled in the magical nature of the four-thousanders of the Mont-Blanc group and the Pelvoux mountain group. The inner zone is strictly protected and serves to preserve nature, while the outer zones are accessible to visitors. The Vanoise National Park is crisscrossed by a network of hiking trails with a total length of 500 km. The most popular is the circular hiking trail Tour des Glaciers, which partly runs along the GR5 and GR55 hiking trails. In sunny weather, visit the Espace Ludi'lacs in Bessans. Day 3
The former Olympic city of Albertville is on the schedule for the third day. The drive takes about an hour by car. Above the city, you will discover the medieval settlement of Cité Médiévale de Conflan, considered one of the main attractions. To the northeast rises the Fort du Mont, built in the 19th century, offering a beautiful view over the city. From Albertville, you drive to Chambéry, which you reach in about 40 minutes. During a tour of this charming city, you will encounter the Elephant Fountain. Stroll along Rue de Boigne to the Château of the Dukes of Savoy, which houses an exhibition on the history of this fascinating castle. Another popular attraction is the Musée des Beaux-Arts art museum. End the evening at a restaurant on Place Saint-Léger, not far from the castle.
