Racou Beach
The thermometer climbs to well over 20°C as early as May and into October on the French Mediterranean coast near the Spanish border. Collioure beach
The turquoise Mediterranean Sea invites you to swim and snorkel from May until October. In the summer months, vacationers can expect daily highs of around 30 degrees. From Plage de Collioure, you can enjoy a picturesque view of some of the town's quaint villas. Both in the peak season and during the transitional periods, you have several interesting excursion destinations to choose from. Visit the popular holiday resort of Argelès-sur-Mer or drive to the city center of Perpignan. It is just 15 kilometers to the Spanish border in the south.
Barcarès Beach
The popular and very beautiful small seaside resort of Barcarès is located in the Pyrénées-Orientales region on the Mediterranean coast in the southwest of France. It has a more than 8-kilometer-long, magnificent fine sandy beach and is also framed by the nearby pine forest of Lido and the pretty lake Étang de Leucate. The long sandy beach of Barcarès is on one hand very natural and also provides a home for many wild birds. The Central Beach of Argelès sur Mer
The La Plage Centrale d'Argelès sur Mer is the 7-kilometer-long main beach of the famous southern French resort town of Argelès sur Mer in the Occitanie region. It offers plenty of space, golden sand, crystal-clear water, a tree-lined promenade, and at the same time, a magnificent view of the forest and mountains. The Central Beach of Canet en Roussillon
As the name suggests, La Plage Centrale de Canet en Roussillon is centrally located. Overall, the golden, gently sloping sandy beach is 9 kilometers long. The water only gradually gets deeper and the waves are gentle, making the beach a paradise for families. A diverse range of sports activities awaits you at the beach: you can make new friends playing beach volleyball, and discover the coast from a new perspective with stand-up paddling. At the supervised beach, you can also sail, kitesurf, and dive. The beach clubs rent out umbrellas and loungers. Well-maintained sanitary facilities are also available.
Le Bourdigou Beach, Torreilles
At the picture-perfect beach near Torreilles, you will find fine, white sand meeting the deep blue Mediterranean Sea. Bask in the picturesque setting or cool off by swimming in the open sea. From May to October, the weather is suitable for swimming. Within a few minutes' walk from Plage le Bourdigou, you can reach a shady mini-golf course. Excursions to Perpignan are very popular, where you can visit numerous architectural sights. The city center is Gothic-influenced and is especially famous for the medieval fortifications and the Palace of the Kings of Mallorca.
Saint-Cyprien Beach
As far as the eye can see, sand awaits you at the beach of Saint Cyprien. Since the 1970s, it has been a magnet for families who relax on the gently sloping shore. Beach of the Pines
