The National Park

The massive migrating dune Råbjerg Mile is located in the far north of Denmark, covers about 2 km², and reaches a height of 40 m. It is referred to as a small desert and offers an impressive landscape of sand hills like in the Sahara – without the disadvantages of a real desert such as heat. The migrating dune near Skagen is a popular destination for hikers and also for families. It moves about 15 meters northeast every year. Rebild National Park

Rebild National Park is located in the north of Denmark in North Jutland near the small town of Rebild. It is surrounded by the beautiful Rold Forest and enchants with a varied landscape of hills, heath, and forest. Several particularly beautiful hiking trails run through the area. Several of these routes can also be used by mountain bikers. The Rebild Bakker Route, awarded by the German Hiking Institute as one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Denmark, leads through impressive old forests and open heathlands with great views over the Ravnkilde spring biotope. The massive chalk cliff Møns Klint is located on the Danish Baltic Sea island of Møns in the South Zealand region. The Bulbjerg in the north of Jutland in the Jammer Bay is an impressive limestone cliff 47 meters high. Denmark - Climate

Denmark has a temperate climate and in summer it is pleasantly mild. Those who want to engage in sports activities and venture into the water should travel between June and August. During this time, daytime temperatures average 20°C and the water warms up to about 18 to 19°C. Thus, the conditions are ideal for surfing, sailing, and kiting. In spring and autumn, windbreakers should not be missing. The thermometer then shows between 8 and 15°C. Sometimes the values can also be lower.
