Rijeka is influenced by a Mediterranean climate. Even in winter, the average air temperature remains around eight degrees Celsius. You have to expect rain showers in the coastal city throughout the year. The least precipitation falls in August with 49 mm. From April to September, there are between ten and twelve hours of sunshine per day. During this time, the maximum average air temperature reaches between 14 degrees in April and 25 degrees Celsius in July and August. The water temperature is a swim-friendly 26 to 29 degrees Celsius from June to September. You can also swim in October at 20 degrees Celsius.
