450 - 841 m a.s.l. >>The spa resort (with healing climate) Winterberg is centre-point of the Hochsauerland and an important winter sports resort, 95 km west from Kassel, 110 km south-east from Dortmund, 70 km north-east from Siegen. In the resort: supermarket, shops, butchery, bakery, boutiques, post office, bank, restaurant, disco. Indoor aquatic centre, wellness centre. Winterberg has earned itself a good reputation as an international sporting town well beyond the country borders. Every year top-class events (World Cup, European Championships) are televised from the bob and tobaggan runs of Winterberg. But numerous summer activities make Winterberg an ideal holiday destination too. For example, the Panorama Adventure Bridge, an excellent network of hiking routes, Nordic Walking and Bike Arena.

Summer

Winter

The Winterberg region has 7 ski resorts altogether. There are a total of 5 chair lifts, 53 drag lifts. 60 ski runs, total length 35 km. Ski school, children's ski school. 40 km cross country ski tracks in the resort, 100 km in the region, winter walking paths. Toboggan runs. Ice rink, curling. Also ski jumps, biathlon and artificial runs for bob, toboggan and skeleton.
