Further information on the country Spain

Climate
This region is situated at the Portuguese border, north of Andalucia and south of the province of Castilla y Leon, forming the western spur of the Meseta massif, a high plateau criss-crossed by valleys. Because of the very dry climate, the majority of the land is uncultivable and rocky. The main source of income for the inhabitants living on the plains is agriculture and the rearing of sheep.
