Climate

Santander is the capital of this mountainous region in the north, facing the -Atlantic Ocean. This region is very much appreciated by holidaymakers who are particularly keen on water sports. On the carved coastline, many beautiful beaches can be found, some with dunes. The most well known bathing resort is Santander, where the Spanish royal family spends their holidays in the summer.
