280 m. >>The medioval village of Chianni lies on a slope which separate the Era valley from the river Fine Valley, an area rich in vineyards with good wines. To visit: Pieve of San Dinato, rebuilt in the 19 century and the Compagnia church. Small, quiet village, in the western part of the region 40 km from the sea, on top of a hill, in a secluded position, 45 km south-east from Pisa, 40 km east from Livorno, 35 km north-east from Cecina. All shops, restaurants etc. in Casciana Terme 8 km. In the resort: grocers, butchers, post office, bank, restaurant, bar. Thermal pool, health cures at 8 km. Access: motorway Firenze-Pisa-Livorno, exit number "Pontedera/Ponsacco". Then road SS. 439 - SP. 13. Access by train Firenze - Pisa. Railway station "Pontedera" 25 km. Casciana Terme 8 km. Castellina M.ma 15 km. Volterra 30 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Pisa (PSA) 45 km, Firenze (FLR) 85 km.
