The ancient Monterosso is situated on a hill which dived the village in two parts. It is now called Monterosso Vecchio and it has been left untouched. Along the seaside there is the modern residential area, situated in the Fegina creek, which give its name to the whole area. The beach of Monterosso is the largests of the Cinque Terre. All the villages of the Cinque Terre, due to their position, have very little parking spaces. During high season and busy periods the acces can be restricted to cars, only houses with a garage are excluded from the rstriction.
