This picturesque little village lies on the southern shore of the north-eastern arm of lake Lugano, 7 km from Porlezza known for its market every Saturday. Worthwhile excursions from here, e.g. to Belvedere from Lanzo, in the upper part of the "Valle d'Intelvi", Lugano with its Monte Bre, San Salvatore, various museums, Monte Generoso. Gandria with its well-known smuggler museum. Morcote. Melide with the "Swiss Miniature" open air museum. Lake Como is also not far away with its famous resorts such as Menaggio and Belaggio. The restaurants known as "Grottos" which serve local specialities should also be visited.
