Climate
Vernon is at the gateway to Normandy, in the Seine valley. This town visited by well-known guests and praised by poets offers intact monuments, shady walks, old buildings and modern constructions. A charming and touristically interesting mixture from the past and future small city with 25'000 inhabitants, 32 km from Evreux, 56 km from Rouen, 80 km from Paris. Access: railway station in the resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Orly (ORY) 90 km, Le Havre (LEH) 135 km, Roissy (CDG) 135 km. The little village of Blaru is 6 km away. Worth seeing: Town hall, Bizy castle. The house, where the famous Impressionist painter Claude Monet used to live, is in Giverny.
