Climate
The symbols of Olomouc, capital of northern Moravia, are the 11th century fortress, the abbey and the Hradisko cloisters. Situated below the fortress, the old town with its houses, the palace, the town hall, astronomy clock, its pretty squares and fountains make it one of the most important historical sites in the country and lovely to stroll about. Once a year, there is a large flower exhibition (Olomouc flowers), which attracts many visitors. When you visit the Prerov house museum, you can see the regional rural architecture. The banks of the Moravian river are ideal for cyclists, walkers and swimmers, as well as the hot water resorts of Jesenik and Lipova. This mountainous region will please all mountain lovers, whether lovers of summer or winter sports with the mountain ranges of Ramzovske sedlo, Cervenohorske sedlo, Serak and Praded (Adler range) the highest peak in Moravia (1492m), offering the longest skiing season in the Czech Republic.
