Climate
This region is ideal for those people who want entertainment, relaxation and culture. The main town, Hradec Kralove, situated where the Elba meets the Orlice river, is worth a visit. Here you can see some buildings dedicated to the well-known architect, J. Gocar. There is a new hot water spring spa and leisure centre located here. For nature lovers, the Dvur Kralove nature park is a “must”. The main ski region is called Ricky, in the Adler mountains. You must see the fantastic Prachovske scaly grey cliffs, which are the heart of the Cesky raj protected nature park. The town of Nachodsko has connections with classical literature thanks to the well-known writers such as B. Nemcova and A. Jirasek. Babiccino udoli is another protected nature site (Grandmothers valley), which is crossed by the river Upa near Ceska Skalice.
